Re: National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD) Membership Opportunities

I am pleased to inform you that UCSB has become an institutional member of the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD). NCFDD membership provides a series of mentoring services, including workshops focused on research and writing strategies, networking opportunities, and other forms of professional support and faculty development. With institutional support from Susan Carlson, Vice Provost for Academic Personnel in the University of California Office of the President, as well as my office, our faculty, graduate students, and postdoctoral students will be able to take advantage of NCFDD programming and resources free of charge.

To review the available benefits offered by NCFDD and activate your sponsored membership, please log on to www.FacultyDiversity.org and follow the instructions listed in the attached flyer.

The contact person for this program at UCSB is Associate Vice Chancellor for Diversity, Equity, and Academic Policy, María Herrera-Sobek. She can be reached by email at maria.sobek@ucsb.edu or by phone at 805-893-5114.

I hope that these resources will be a valuable resource for our academic community.

Thank you.
