Re: Faculty and Staff Survey on Student Mental Health

Dear UCSB Faculty or Staff Member,

I invite you to participate in an anonymous and confidential survey regarding student mental health so that your thoughts and opinions can be heard. The survey should take you approximately five minutes to complete. As appreciation for your participation and time spent filling out the survey, you will have the opportunity to enter your email address in a drawing for $1000. Participation in the survey is voluntary and confidential, and you can withdraw at any point. If you received this invitation in 2013, this is a new sweepstakes drawing. Whether or not you participated previously, we welcome and appreciate your participation for 2014.

UC Santa Barbara has partnered with the RAND Corporation, a non-profit research organization based in Santa Monica, CA and the California Mental Health Services Authority (CalMHSA) to conduct a survey to learn more about faculty and staff experiences and attitudes related to student mental health and well–being, perceptions of how campuses are serving students’ mental health needs, and perceptions of overall campus climate toward student mental health and well-being.

If you are interested in participating, please follow this link https://www.randsurvey.org/ucstaff/, where you will find more information about the survey and your participation.

If you have questions specific to the UCSB campus, please contact Gladys Koscak, M.S., Mental Health Specialist in Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at gladys.koscak@sa.ucsb.edu or 893-4411.

Please complete the survey by Tuesday, December 23, 2014, to be entered in the drawing for the $1000 incentive.
