Re: | Student Information Systems Conversion Project - Status Update #2 |
As per my memo dated July 16, 2012, I am updating you on the status and the recently revised release dates for the Student Information Systems Conversion Project.
While it is nearing completion, the release dates have been moved from December 26 - 31, 2012 to February 13 - 18, 2013. This is to accommodate recently mandated data interface changes and to complete the end-to-end testing of the converted systems. It is better to get it right than to meet an arbitrary deadline.
The systems downtime will begin after 5:00 pm on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 and the production cutover is expected to be completed by 11:00 pm on Monday, February 18, 2013. The affected student systems will be unavailable during this time period. Please consider the impacts of the cutover downtime to your business operations and plan accordingly.
For a list of affected applications and additional project information you can visit http://sist.sa.ucsb.edu/SIS_Modernization/MissionStatement.aspx
I will continue to update you if there are any changes to this schedule.
