Re: | University of California Policy On Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment |
President Napolitano has issued revised University of California policy on sexual violence and sexual harassment. President Napolitano’s issuance letter and the updated policy are attached for your convenience. UC student policies have also been revised and detail current processes and procedures for sexual misconduct cases involving students.
UCSB provides a number of resources for employees and students. The Ombuds Office and CARE: Campus Advocacy, Resources & Education provide confidential assistance. A list of additional resources is available on the Office of Equal Opportunity and Sexual Harassment/Title IX Compliance website.
Further communications explaining the new mandatory reporting requirements and detailing training requirements for academic and staff employees will be forthcoming.
Preventing and responding to sexual violence is a duty we all share. Thank you.
