Re:  UPDATE:  2020-21 Non-Senate Faculty Professional Development Fund First Call for Proposals Now Open

This past April, we made the difficult decision to postpone the Non-Senate Faculty Professional Development First Call for Proposals due to pandemic related concerns.  As we continue to monitor ongoing COVID-19 developments and updated travel guidance from various public health authorities, we have decided to release the call for proposals with a July 20, 2020 deadline.  Please note that due to uncertainties related to the COVID-19 pandemic, proposals that rely on travel are discouraged at this time. Campuses are discouraging travel to prevent the spread of infection, and UC and/or public health policies may not allow non-essential travel in the months ahead. Many national and international conferences currently scheduled for the 2020-21 academic year are being cancelled, postponed, or changed to virtual formats. If an award is made for conference or research travel later in the academic year, recipients should be aware that they may not be able to accept the award, depending on the circumstances at the time.

For more information about the funding opportunity and eligibility requirements, please visit the Academic Personnel Awards website.

Thank you.
