We are writing to inform or remind you that the UC Santa Barbara campus has an institutional membership with the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD).

NCFDD is an independent professional development, training, and mentoring community for faculty members, postdocs, and graduate students, and academic staff, dedicated to supporting academics in making successful transitions throughout their careers.

The campus membership, sponsored by our offices, provides a series of mentoring services, including workshops focused on research and writing strategies, networking opportunities, and other forms of professional support and faculty development resources. Also included are a monthly newsletter, webinars, courses, discussion forums, writing groups, and a resource library of past webinar materials, referrals, and readings.

We encourage you to utilize these NCFDD resources. The steps to activate your sponsored membership can be found on the NCFDD page on the EVC website.
