Throughout the academic year, the UCSB Faculty Mentoring Program offers a wide variety of community-building and professional-development events, including:

1. a new faculty orientation and mentor/convenor trainings at the beginning of the academic year
2. luncheons and professional development sessions throughout the academic year
3. a reception at the end-of-the year
   
   We strongly encourage new faculty, and when applicable, convenors and mentors, to attend these events.
